This past Friday I went and picked up my first foster pup, Twiggle.
She's a 2-year old hound mix, and probably the sweetest girl I've ever met. She was instantly affectionate and seemed at-ease in my apartment. Outside she was very timid and cautious, but that's to be expected when everything is new and scary. Even simple things like walking down the hallway scared her; it took her a couple days before she'd walk outside my door without some coaxing.
But now it's been 4 days and she's running around like she's completely comfortable. I'm hoping this weekend we can go out and hit a trail or two - though it may be better to keep her near home for now and just let her de-stress a bit more.
